Strengthening Collaboration Between Law Enforcement & Business

06 Jun 2019, 13:30 - 14:10

Keynote Stage

One of the continuing challenges facing the information security community is the conflicting objectives of law enforcement and business. In the event of a breach, the priority for enterprises is getting back to business as quickly as possible – with attribution and prosecution a secondary consideration. For law enforcement, tasked with prosecuting criminals, their priority is attribution and bringing those criminals to justice.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Understand the UK law enforcement response to cybercrime
  2. Understand how law enforcement is taking steps to support business
  3. Understand the practical steps you should take post breach to work with law enforcement
  4. Discuss how law enforcement and business can collaborate more effectively to tackle cybercrime
