Cleaning & Waste

It is your responsibility to maintain your stand in a clean condition at all times. We have made arrangements for basic stand cleaning to be carried out on your stand each evening prior to Show Open (Mon – Wed). The cleaning of exhibits will remain your responsibility.  At the end of each day please put your full bin bag in the aisle so that it can be collected by the cleaners.  Any items left in the aisles will be considered litter and disposed of.  You can order additional cleaning services by going to the online store www.excel.london/webshop or by email to [email protected].  Please remember to confirm your order 28 days before the start of event tenancy to benefit from the advanced order rate.

At the end of each day please put your full bin bag in the aisle so that it can be collected by the cleaners.  Any items left in the aisles will be considered litter and disposed of.

Standfitting materials, carpet, pallets etc. are not included in the cleaning service and must be removed by the exhibitor or contractor. Any costs incurred for the removal of this type of waste will be forwarded to the exhibitor concerned.  Therefore plan ahead and pre-order a waste disposal service for building materials and general rubbish that you may be unable to take away from site in your vehicle.  Go to www.excel.london/webshop or contact [email protected] to book waste disposal services. Please remember to confirm your order 28 days before start of the event tenancy to benefit from the advanced order rate.

Please note that you will incur charges if you or your contractor leaves excess waste during build up and breakdown.

Recycling and reducing waste is everyone’s responsibility. There could be some items that you don’t want to take with you, but someone might find useful. That could be pens or notepads or even, things like cushions or fabrics. Why not donate them to a local charity? ExCeL can arrange for a local charity CFE, ahead of the event to arrange collection, if the item is useful to them. For more information on what can be donated, please visit www.c-f-e.org.uk/.

In your own interests you should satisfy yourselves as to the condition of your stand site before the building of your stand and after its clearance.

It is essential to use a recognised adhesive tape when fixing any carpet directly to the hall floor as all carpet tape must be removed at the end of the exhibition.

The correct tape can be purchased from the Organising office onsite at the exhibition. Any charges incurred by the organisers as a result of failure to remove carpet/carpet tape will be passed onto the exhibitor.

The stand space must be completely clear and clean by the end of the dismantling period. Any waste left behind is subject to a charge.

Disabled Access & Parking

Accessibility

At ExCeL accessibility is important — helping to provide an enjoyable event for everyone.

ExCeL is fully accessible by wheelchair, including all the public areas. For additional information about disabled facilities, such as renting scooters and for a full accessibility map, please review: https://www.excel.london/visitor/venue-guide/accessibility

There are 155 bays suitable for disabled drivers on-site across ExCeL's car parks. These are wide bays with minimum dimensions of 5.9m by 3.6m. Access to the building from these bays is along walkways with a gradient of no more than 1:15 and via flat entrance lifts with automatic doors. There are clearly marked disabled parking bays in the venue’s car park. Blue badge holders can park in designated disabled parking bays. Parking costs £25 for up to 24 hours. There is a fine of £80 for parking in a disabled bay without displaying a valid disabled badge.

All public entrances allow for access by wheel chair via low gradient ramps and an automatic door. Once inside the venue, all floors are level, offering unobstructed access.

There are 40 toilets for disabled visitors located throughout the building. You’ll find them near the Business Services centre, located on level 0 between hall entrance N4 and S4, the ICC conference suites on Level 3 and the restaurants and cafes on Level 1 and Level 2.

All reception counters, bars and self-service counters and the seating areas are accessible to wheelchair users. Pictographic signs and symbols have been used to guide people around the building.

Parking

The Ultra Low Emission  Zone (ULEZ) includes ExCeL London. Visit Transport for London website to check whether your vehicle is subject to the ULEZ charge and find out how to pay.

There are nearly 1,800 parking spaces in the venue’s car park, located underneath the venue. Pre-booking is the only way to guarantee a space in the car park at the venue. The car park is designed for vehicles up to a maximum of 1.9m height, although there are a limited number of spaces for vehicles up to 2.8m. To pre-book a space, go to the online booking platform here. It may be possible to park on the day without having pre-booked depending on the number of spaces that have been pre-booked. Payment can be made on site at the payment machines in the car park lobbies. Parking costs £25 for up to 24 hours.

Please click here for FAQs on venue car parking.

Filming and Broadcasting

It is not permitted, without the prior approval of the Operations Team, to engage in or permit filming, sound or video recording, telecasting or broadcasting within the Venue. If approved, in certain cases, such activities may be subject to an additional charge as determined by the Operations Team. Please contact the Operations Team here to discuss.

First Aid  & Accidents

First Aid will be available onsite located Level 0 near S4/N4. If you require medical attention please contact the Organisers Office or any member of the exhibition team.

Internet and Communications

When different Wi-Fi networks compete for air ‘time’ unfortunately everyone is a loser, so our policy precludes the use of proprietary Internet access devices such as routers and hotspots from mobile devices. We want to ensure that everyone enjoys a reliable and stable connection.

Hosting a virtual conference, streaming 4k video content, demoing your new website or software or simply want to access your back-office applications? Choose one of our secure and reliable Internet connections for your stand through this link. Please note that our network supports 5ghz Wi-Fi services for 1,000s of devices to use concurrently or use hardwired connections for faster connections. Review our FAQs here or contact [email protected] for more information.

If you need power for any device or service, you will need to contact the appointed electrical contractor for the event.

Although there is a free public Wi-Fi service on the boulevard, this is only suitable for general browsing and email.

Please read carefully! To maintain effective Wi-Fi connections for any participant at the event, we ask that you do not bring your own wireless routers to the venue. These devices conflict with the venue infrastructure and compromise the performance of the venue connections. If you require a bespoke Wi-Fi connection, please contact the team at [email protected].

Please remember to confirm your order 28 days before the start of event tenancy to benefit from the advanced order rate.

Free Wifi

ExCeL has free, fast WiFi which is suitable for browsing, social media, and email. When you arrive at the venue, you just need to sign in to '_ExCeL free Wi-Fi' using the standard log in, or via LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter.

Low battery?

There are power bank rental units spread throughout the boulevard (next to Venue Services and at hall entrances N4, N7 and S9).

You can rent a power bank for just £2.00 for the first hour and then it's capped at £4.00 per day. Return the power bank to any Joos unit in London. You also have the option to purchase a power bank outright for £30.00.

Payment options:

  • Pay through the Joos app
  • Use the contactless card terminal on the side of the unit

For more information visit the Joos customer page joos.app/customers/. And don't worry, you won't be held liable for any damage or losses to our Joos products (stations of power banks). Joos have you covered with full public liability.

PA System

The Public Address system is for use of the Organiser and Authorities only. Only official and emergency messages will be broadcast, any requests for information to be announced will be refused.
