Community@Infosec launches at Infosecurity Europe to put human connection back into cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is ultimately about people. While technology, frameworks and tools dominate much of the conversation, progress in security depends just as much on human connection, shared experience and the ability to learn from one another.

That belief sits at the core of Community@Infosec, brand-new space at Infosecurity Europe created with the Cyber House Party team and the wider cyber community, designed to put community front and centre.

Set slightly apart from the busiest areas of the Infosecurity Europe 2026 show floor, Community@Infosec offers a place to slow down, step out of the noise and engage in more meaningful conversations about the realities of working in cybersecurity today.

Nikki Webb, co-founder of Cyber House Party and Global Channel Manager, Custodian 360 told Infosecurity, “We’re really excited about the Community@Infosec initiative. When we run Cyber House Party events outside of the show, we always get to see a whole kaleidoscope of people and it’s great to bring that to a dedicated space at Infosecurity Europe 2026.”

“With Infosecurity Europe being the biggest cybersecurity show in Europe it can be daunting for first time attendees or those who are newer to the sector. We need to create a space for those people who are coming from new and non-traditional background and that what Community@Infosec aims to do.”

“Community is at the forefront of everything we do in cybersecurity, and we’re delighted to bring the party to the show floor for 2026.”

The initiative is supported by a curated group of community organisations that will give visitors the opportunity to discover new groups, join conversations and connect with people with shared interests and experiences.

Cybermindz

Cybermindz is a not-for-profit organisation led by cybersecurity and mental health pioneers, focused on mitigating burnout and strengthening mental resilience among cybersecurity and technology professionals.

Bronwyn Boyle, EVP resilient communities at Cybermindz, told to Infosecurity, "We have an amazing community of dedicated, passionate cyber defenders committed to keeping our organisations safe. But they're also burning out.”

AI is increasing the pace and complexity of work across security teams, bringing higher alert volumes, more advanced threats and growing operational strain. As a result, fatigue, stress and workforce turnover are becoming more common challenges across the industry.

“We need to look out for each other, and I'm super delighted that Cybermindz is partnering with the Cyber House Party Community Hub to do just that,” Boyle said”

“This community has always had an extraordinary capacity to take care of our own, and the Hub embodies this spirit”

Cybermindz is set to bring real, science-backed resilience support to connection the community already offers.

“As someone who has personally experienced burnout, I know what it means to have your community catch you. That's what this hub can be for so many people, and that's why I'm so proud to have Cybermindz be part of it," she concluded.

CAPSLOCK

Co-founded by Lorna Armitage MBE, CAPSLOCK has helped over 1,000 people retrain into cybersecurity, many from underrepresented and lower socio-economic backgrounds, proving that talent is everywhere, even if opportunity isn’t.

CAPSLOCK was built on the belief that cybersecurity must be for everyone, not just those who already have a foot in the door.

Community isn't a nice-to-have in this industry, it's how we actually close the skills gap and bring in the people who'd otherwise never find their way in, the CAPSLOCK team has said.

Putting people first at events like Community@Infosec aligns with CAPSLOCK’s mission.

WiCyS UK & Ireland Affiliate

WiCyS UK & Ireland (UKI) is a dedicated community for women in cybersecurity, operating as an affiliate of the global Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) organisation.

Entirely volunteer-run by working industry professionals and allies, the WiCyS team exists to recruit, retain and advance women in the cybersecurity workforce across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

WiCyS UKI’s work spans three pillars: helping newcomers break into cyber through early careers programming and partnerships; building genuine community through regional events and peer networks; and advancing women into senior and leadership roles through technical networking, public speaking training, and an Executive Network of senior cybersecurity leaders.

WiCyS UKI’s support of the Cyber House Party Community@Infosec space allows attendees to make use of a warm, inclusive and vibrant space and find their footing, connect with like-minded peers.

The space allows first-time attendees or those who have historically felt underrepresented to build the confidence to engage fully with everything the Infosecurity Europe conference has to offer; from keynote sessions to evening socials.

Every Child Online is supporting Community@Infosec because it directly aligns with its mission: to ensure that as society becomes more digitally connected, no one is left vulnerable or behind.

Infosecurity Europe is also an opportunity for collaboration with organisations that want to extend their cyber expertise beyond the corporate environment and into the communities that need it most.

WiTCH (Women in Tech and Cyber Hub)

WiTCH (Women in Tech and Cyber Hub) is a bold, inclusive community designed to support women at every stage of their journey into, and through, tech and cybersecurity.

The goal is to create an industry that women want to join and, even more importantly, they want to stay in.

WiTCH focuses on the human side of careers. That means building confidence, strengthening communication, developing leadership skills, and helping women navigate the often messy realities of workplace culture.

The community creates space for honest conversations about challenges like imposter syndrome, burnout, and progression, without the usual corporate gloss.
